Located in Mineral, Virginia, Tributer Resort is a luxury lakeside and golf community centered around the Cutalong experience at Lake Anna. The destination features the private 18-hole championship Cutalong Golf Course, designed by Tom Clark and Ron Whitten, with a second championship course by Tiger Woods’ TGR Design planned for the property. Along with golf, the resort offers lakeside living, upscale accommodations, dining, and recreational experiences designed to connect guests with the surrounding landscape.
As part of this vision, the Blackwater Creek Trail system is transforming an abandoned railroad corridor into a multi-use trail experience.
According to Gabe Scott, Project Manager at Tributer Resort, “The challenge we faced was determining how to cross the numerous wetland areas that intersected an abandoned railroad bed we were restoring and converting into a multi-use trail system.”
“Our goal was to provide safe and reliable crossings while minimizing disturbance to the surrounding wetlands and preserving the natural environment,” Scott explained.
Finding the Right Bridge Solution
Links Bridges provided five 100% fiberglass bridges for the Blackwater Creek Trail system, delivered in May 2025 to connect the trail across the wetland areas. A sixth bridge was delivered in May 2026 for Hole 14 at Cutalong Golf Course, expanding Links Bridges’ presence across the Tributer Resort property.

Scott shared why Links Bridges was selected for the project:
“The Links Bridges were the right solution for Cutalong for several reasons. First, they are high-quality, visually appealing structures—both of which are important characteristics for any product we incorporate into the resort experience.”
“In addition, their composite construction allowed the bridges to be transported and installed with minimal disturbance to the surrounding environment,” he added.
Links Bridges’ 100% fiberglass bridges combine the natural appearance of wood with long-term durability. Fiberglass does not rot, rust, or deteriorate, providing a 75+ year service life with minimal maintenance while offering an aesthetically pleasing and sustainable solution for challenging environments.

Building Connections for the Future
Scott shared the impact the bridges have already provided:
“Although the trail system is still under construction and not yet open to guests, the bridges have already provided a significant benefit by allowing access to the remaining portions of the trail network so construction can continue.”
“Looking ahead, one of the greatest advantages we anticipate is the durability of the composite bridge system and the minimal maintenance it will require,” Scott said.
The Tributer Resort project represents how thoughtful infrastructure can support access through unique landscapes while preserving the character of the surrounding environment. From wetland crossings along a restored railroad corridor to golf course applications, Links Bridges continues to provide durable bridge solutions for projects where aesthetics, performance, and long-term value matter.
